If it weren't for their partners in the sales channel, many manufacturers wouldn't be able to deliver their products to their customers and convince them to keep buying. The marketplace, the technology, and the way we communicate have all changed, so using the same methods of partner relationship management as 20 years ago will not work. With buyers' guides, reviews, installation checklists and case studies only a click away, consumers are savvier than ever, as well. Understanding the smartest ways to advertise to the customers at the other end of the sales channel is more important then ever, because people don't like feeling like they're being talked down to. Sales channel management should be a system that is always changing and evolving, to stay in touch with the modern marketplace.
