Information About Deal Registration


Many vendors have a deal registration agreement with their channel partners, so that the partner (a reseller of systems integrator) will inform them about leads and receives priority in exchange. Deal registration management allows a certain period of time to close the deal in, and other channels or salespeople are not allowed to close a similar deal with that led during that period of time. Deal registration software is often used to track and organize all of these leads and processes. One of the benefits of deal registration management is that it helps to avoid conflict in the sales channels, so channel partners are not competing against each other and the vendor's sales team.

With a deal registration program in place, partners can take their time working with clients without worrying about another company trying to offer the same product at a lower price. Some vendors also offer to help partners in the selling cycle, and having everything organized with deal registration software lowers the chance of the vendor stealing the lead, even if it is accidental. Vendors still give leads to other partners sometimes, even when they have deal registration software in place, but this is not common. Usually, deal registration ensures that credit is always given where credit is due.
