Depending On Channel Partner Profiling
The success of channel marketing depends on the amount of business and profit that flows through the channel within a certain amount of time. However, in order for the channel to accomplish this, it is dependent on each of the individual channel partners that are included in the entire process of channel marketing. There are several components that a partner has to have in order for it to be a viable piece of the channel. The entire channel marketing process relies on the costs and return on investments of each partner. Therefore, a sales channel will monitor and watch the different partners in the process, known as channel partner profiling.
In channel partner profiling, different aspects such as products, turnover, local standing, the company's share in sales, etc. are important to the general functionality of the channel. These are all recorded into the channel and can be accessed by the partners in the channel to evaluate or to use as needed. Channel partner profiling is another way to ensure the quality of the sales channel and the partners within the channel. Channel marketing relies on the quality of its partners, which is why it is important to have a channel partner profiling process.
